BRIEF BIOGRAPHY OF MACHIAVELLI: Niccolo Machiavelli was born on 3rd May, 1469, in Florence, Italy. He eventually became a man who lived his life solely for politics and patriotism. However, today he is associated with a corrupt, totalitarian government. The reason for this is a pamphlet he wrote called ‘The Prince’ to gain influence with the then ruling ‘Medici’ family in Florence, Italy. The political genius that was Niccolo Machiavelli was overshadowed by the reputation unfairly given to him because of a misunderstanding of his strong views on politics.

While incarcerated in Clinton Correctional Facility, Tupac read and studied Niccolò Machiavelli and other published works, which inspired his pseudonym “Makaveli” under which he released the album The Don Killuminati: The 7 Day Theory. The album presents a stark contrast to previous works. Machiavelli’s writings inspired Tupac as he also preached that a leader could eliminate his enemies by all means necessary. Throughout the album, pac continues to focus on the themes of pain and aggression, making this album one of the emotionally darker works of his career.
