The Rose That Grew from Concrete Album Info: (from HipHopDOA.com)
The Rose That Grew from Concrete is an Tupac album unlike any of his other previous official album releases. Rather than featuring 2Pac’s music this album focuses on Tupac’s poetry. The album aims to highlight Tupac’s powerful poetry to his fans who already know him as a powerful hip hop lyricist.

The celebrities reading Tupac’s poetry on the album include Hip Hop’s Mos Def, Dead Prez, Reverend Run, Mac Mall, K-Ci, Q-Tip, Russell Simmons, and Tupac’s own rap group The Outlawz. ‘Pac’s friends and family make appearances aswell with Afeni Shakur, Tupac’s mother, reading her son’s poetry as does Jasmine Guy, who was a good friend of Tupac’s. Jasmine first met Tupac through her costar on A Different World, Jada Pinkett-Smith, and Jada also features on the album too. Guy later collaborated with Shakur’s mother, Afeni, to write a biography of her life as a former Black Panther………
