Best of 2Pac Info: (from HipHopDOA.com)

Best of 2Pac is the second posthumous greatest hits compilation series to be released from the late Tupac Shakur. The compilation was released in two parts, as two seperate albums: “Part 1: Thug” and also “Part 2: Life”. Both albums actually were released earlier than was planned due to the album leaking onto the internet. On December 4, 2007 the albums were released in the United States and were then released on December 10, 2007 in the United Kingdom, having leaked via the internet a few days earlier on November 30.

The compilation didnt prove to be massively popular when compared to the success of the previous 2Pac Greatest Hits album, which went 10x Platinum in the US (DIAMOND), especially as most tracks from that collection, are also on this. However the album’s do include a few editions from other posthumus albums released after the first Greatest Hits compilation. Such tracks include the likes of “Still Ballin’”, “They Don’t Give a Fuck about Us”, and “Never Call U Bitch Again” which were taken from 2Pac’s 2002 album release Better Dayz. “Definition of a Thug Nigga” from his 1997 release R U Still Down? (Remember Me). The UK smash hit “Ghetto Gospel” from his 2004 album release Loyal To The Game, and also “When I Get Free” and “Until the End of Time” from Pac’s Until The End of Time album which was released in 2001.

A few previously unreleased songs were also included on Best of 2Pac, with each album getting one totally new track each, these tracks were “Dopefiend’s Diner” and “Resist the Temptation” (featuring Amel Larrieux). Both tracks were originally written and recorded by Tupac for his debut studio solo album 2Pacalypse Now-way back in 1991, but were not included on the album for one reason or another and remained unreleased (officially) until this point. The original versions of both songs have been remixed for their inclusion here. The inclusion of both songs on the album’s…………..
